A home game against some loser team like Liverhampton will do me.

Top teams early.

Historically most promoted teams get off to a flyer we have a really bad early season record against them.

Need some mundane Watfordesque games.

Another bad start and an early season start for Bazza after buying nobody will really be depressing

Who wants to bet that we get Tottenham on Boxing Day or around the Christmas period?

Can’t remember the last time we won on the opening day in the prem so as Phil says, might as well have City away to start.

The weekend of Sept 1st is the Rose Bowl test match against India and when we got our tickets last year, it was assumed that this would be an International weekend, so no game would be missed.

Horrified then to find that fecking UEFA had put that back a week, so I was really worried about it clashing with a home game, or, even worse, Fulham away.

Whilst I would gladly have missed Everton away,which is a fortnight earlier, Palace is one I’m not going to lose any sleep over.

Opening game won’t be on the Saturday as Burnley will more than likely be playing in the Europa League that week.

Assuming they get through the 2nd qualifying round, the 3rd round is 9th and 16th August.
