Interesting to read the debate about the timing of the declaration today. Obviously every pundit is ranting about it and saying they should have declared 50 or 70 runs earlier.

Then the debate about how much easier the pitch is to bat on when the sun shines.

And actually the best comment came in one of the articles (Beeb I think) that actually said "Anderson & Broad wanted to come out and get into a rythm. They felt that would not happen if they came out and warmed up and then went off again for Tea.

I guess that the answer is in the scoreline and todays’ weather forecast.

Lost my feed but i think its

SA 160 - 6

Beardsm’n Mo with a superb hattrick to win the match!

Elgar played such a good knock there and it’s a pity nobody could stay with him and make a real chase of it.

Moeen Ali finishes the game…with a Hat-trick!!

Wow…now that’s something that will live with him all his life.

England win by 239 runs :lou_lol:

3rd time lucky. When did England ever have 3 players on a hat trick in 1 match?

Also 100th Test at the Oval 1st ever hat trick
