Loved the last couple of months with Avenged Sevenfold and Metallica releasing an album with 2 weeks of each other. Bliss

I’m going to use this thread to listen to the best of 2016 and then swan about town acting like one of the Kool kidz.

I’ve only recently gotten into CG, had never really listened to him before. I’ve had _“Camp” _on repeat a fair amount recently. Couldn’t really get into his latest effort though. Maybe a few more listens will help.

Blue & Lonesome - The Rolling Stones

Blackstar - David Bowie

Friends - White Lies

It’s a big departure from his other work, but it’s a grower. Helps if you divorce it from his previous albums and take it as a standalone.

Some of my favourites have been…

Grandfeathered - Pinkshinyultrablast

Lines - Waclaw Zimpel

Controlling Body - Peder Mannerfelt

Varmints - Anna Meredith

Varahtelija - Oranssi Pazuzu

Bes - The Dwarfs of East Agouza

Secuirty - Gaika

It’s Hard for Me to Say I’m Sorry - Fennesz & Jim O’Rourke

Hubris - Oren Ambarchi

A Moon Shaped Pool - Radiohead

We Be All Africans - Idris Ackamoor & the Pyramids

Second Woman - Second Woman

Moogmemory - Matthew Bourne

He’s made half of them up. He always does,

Anything from here

I had to! I spent most of the year listening to Prince and weeping.

Haha…I was thinking that…but I am old and out of touch.

You might like the Anna Meredith one, Fatsy.

Although I’m always a bit crap at predicting your taste. You’re so mauve.

The only new music I listen to is usually suggested by posters on here so I concur with suggestions above, particularly the Bowie and Radiohead albums.

Am also enjoying The Soft Bounce by Beyond The Wizards Sleeve at the moment (yes, I know it sounds like I just made that up).

Leonard Cohen - You Want it Darker.

That is all.

Some of the above, plus:

Ulrika Spacek - The Album Paranoia

Death Grips - Bottomless Pit
