Arsehampton

Liverpool come in for a huge amount of flak for buying our players but Arsenal have just as many in their squad and dont seem to be as vilified. Why is it ok for them to nick our players but not Liverpool?

Because whatever his faults, Arsene Wenger is not Brendan Rodgers.

Because Arsenal have done it slowly over the years, one here, one there.

Brendan Twatgers did it in one hit…

Plus going to Liverpool is not really a step up in terms of competitions and the likeliness of winning thangs…

I like the idea, BBB, but I’m not sure it quite works in its execution.

They’ve traditionally paid decent money, perhaps too much in a lot of cases. They’ve normally been fairly respectful in the media as well. Caught some flak for tweeting about Schneiderlin this time out though.

I dont think we did too badly out of Liverpool for cash last season though agree they are being a bit tight over Clyne.

Once bitten and all that…

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott were both sold before we were Premier league, I think. That’s better than Liverpool taking our players as they’re already premier league. Setting talented young lower league players go to big clubs is more acceptable than seeing prem players doing it. Plus we had more time to bond with lallana and Lambert than Oxo. And maybe we didn’t mind Chambers going so much as we got loads of money and had a better player in clyne.
Or maybe people just don’t like Brendan Rogers. Or scousers.

Brendan now has half the team that got us eighth place the season before last - what not to like about that?
