Many will know the legend of Barry Sanchez. A divisive character, one thing he can’t be accused of is not rolling his sleeves up. Since clinging to the warm bosom of Sotonians, Barry has informed us that he has new learnings, and that he’s going to instruct us all in the art of becoming better people. Step one? His own agony column.

Just what I was looking for.
After a brief foray into the legal world, I’m currently working as a contractor for a financial services establishment. I’ve recently been offered a full time perm position at faceless government organisation A. While the new job would be interesting work and much more stable, the salary is less than a third of what I can earn contracting. With a little miss kingdomcome on her way, stability is quite important.
So my question is what’s the best way to cook ribs on a barbeque?

In relation to the contracting, I did similar and stayed in the contract game. There is a lot of work around, and as you say, the salary is 3 times what you’d earn in a perm position. You can have 8 months off and still not be out of pocket.

I read half way down and saw full time perm, come on son, mullets or bowl heads but a perm? The other bit don’t matter.

Contracts on the game, they’ll getting better one plus I suppose of the European Union, protecting all workers and all that.

Hi Barry, one time on grantsweb you were quite rude to me, and it really hurt me. Deep inside my heart was torn asunder by the bitter blade of your tongue. I never recovered fully, so I was wondering if you knew of any cages anywhere where we could have a bare knuckle cage fight?

Well as a lover not a fighter and not a particularly good lover at that no, kirkdale have a couple of gyms and is golden gloves still going in town? But alas no cages, if your heart is ripped and torn I suggest a stint or a bypass and nothing strenuous as you could have a full blown banger and be in the way to meet Dustin Gee.
