You don’t seem to understand how intertwined religion is in most cultures. Go to a Hindu temple and you will learn a lot about the people and their culture as well as their religious beliefs.

I understand perfectly well thank you and have travelled a bit, learning a culture doesn’t neccessarily mean it isn’t homophobic, sexist or racist does it? Dowry, arranged marriage or honour killings for example are in a culture and through all castes, they sure as shit aren’t a positive are they? Shine a light on it and change it.

All got some fucked up mental ideas and weird stories. But all have a majority of good people as well. I’ve always found for most people wherever in the world and of whatever religion it’s the sense of community(belonging) that keeps them involved more than the preachings.
