Bayern Munich - Protest

Ok I get the meaning behind it, but they still bought £64 tickets as well as missing the start of the game! So a bit of a strange protest, but I do agree with the banner.

A Bayern Munich fans’ group turned up late for their Champions League group match at Arsenal in protest at ticket prices for the game.

FC Bayern Worldwide, which revealed the protest last week, did not enter the Emirates for the first five minutes of the match which had a £64 ticket price.

There was applause by Gunners fans when the group eventually took their seats.
Bayern’s fans also displayed a banner which read: “£64 a ticket. But without fans football is not worth a penny.”

A BBC Price of Football study, which analysed costs at 227 clubs across Britain and Europe, found that Arsenal have the most expensive match-day ticket in the Premier League at £97.

In contrast, Bayern Munich’s cheapest season ticket in the Bundesliga is £140.
Earlier this month, the Football Supporters’ Federation coordinated protests at all 20 Premier League clubs and 10 Championship teams, to call for a £20 cap on away ticket prices.

Robbed at £64 …robbed by a hand ball as well…

Shit trip all round then… Might as well have stayed at home!

They were all loitering round Highbury and Islington station getting in my way about 16:15 today. Didn’t they realise I needed to get to a home visit!

Should have gone to the Compton Arms instead. Its been our pre-Gooners watering hole since 1979.

Oh come on, if that had happened in the other box would you have given a penalty?

Meant the First Arsenal goal…

Buying a ticket is not the way to make a protest. How many fucks are Arsenal likely to give once they’ve got your money?

Almost as good as the lad that started the ‘Save Our Stripes’ campaign later admitting he’d bought our last Cortese-kit anyway. :lou_facepalm_2:

If memory serves, that was Colinjb, author of the least read blog in the world and XBone enthusiast.

Well, he certainly seems to have a knack for backing the winning horse.

Yeah, I know, I meant to say that if a defender had “handled” the ball it that manner would you have given a penalty??

Fair enough… but seeing that fecker Wengers smug grin after his side were so clearly second best and had just done a L2 park the bus impression, was most annoying…

It is a bit like supporters that buy a season ticket, then throw it in the pitch in protest… Oh well done. Next time give me your money!!!

At least the result will shut Adrian Durham up for 5 minutes.
