Bring Rickie Home?

With news that Liverpool may ship off Lambert to another club, how do we feel? Should the club make an attempt to bring Rickie home?

no - I think we have moved on.

I think as long as his legs haven’t completely gone, there could be a place for him. Even when he was here, his game was never about pace, which means that he’s less affected by the passage of time. Also, Pelle’s not exactly quick either. We rely on the wide players for speed.

Oh, and file under complete fantasy, but it’d be tremendous if he came back and did well. Another shining example of Brendan’s brilliant man management.

Not for me. I love Rickie, I really do. I hold no grudges, I totally get why he left, and did it in the right manner.

But I’m a believer in never going back. He’s, rightly, got an iconic status at Saints. In coming back, I believe he’d only really diminsh that. I’d rather keep all the great memories of him.

Rickie would be better off going to one of the newly promoted teams, or perhaps Leicester, where he’d get regular games. I’d hate to see him rust on the subs’ bench after all he’s achieved here.

There are reports coming in suggesting he’ll be at West Brom by week’s end.

On the bright side, I’m sure he’ll be happy that he’s getting _his _Tony Pulis.

I feel gutted for Rickie the way it went for him at Liverpool. If he goes to WBA I just hope he gets to score the winner against them!

Or Norwich apparently - which I’d prefer, if for no other reason than it would give Dalek something different to post about.

I love Rickie and I always will*

But we’ve all moved on, hopefully he’ll get a club that suits him and do well against most teams, apart from us.

*as long as he doesn’t get convicted of pleasuring himself with farm animals or similar.
