I love this because it is so true no matter if you support Chelsea or Sholing! The emotion in football is just amazing. What it puts you through, the heaven and hell. Love Football.
Hey, go for it mate If you haven't seen any Lynch movies before then you may be a bit frustrated by the non-typical hollywood storytelling. It's one of his more accessible films though imo. Just think of it as an "Innocent girl from Midwest goes to Hollywood, gets corrupted" story. Just filtered through a surrealist
Great film mate. I was completely captivated all the way thru'. It did feel 2.5 hours long but not really in an overlong way, that it lost my attention. I have to confess to being a bit slow on the uptake, re. the dream /reality morph but I'd worked it out soon enough to 'get' the finale ....... it certainly got the brain ticking tho'.
I've always had a bit of a thing for Naomi Watts .............. now I think I love her !!
Glad you enjoyed it mate. It was originally supposed to be a TV series but, the pilot was cancelled. Lynch used some of the footage and reshot it into a feature film. There is no one making films with his vision and imagination, or allowed to nowadays.
Also .... Laura Harring.
Love this closing scene to Southern Comfort ... the stomping authentic Cajun music as a backdrop to a shitload of underlying tension .... good stuff for the music alone !!
I remember watching it as VHS rental. Have you seen Deliverance? Similar kind of trope, scary other southern US people.
Here is a clip especially for Barry S.
I've never actually got round to seeing Mullholland Drive, though I've been meaning to for years.
So with that little prompt from @SaintBristol and with a day off work tomorrow, I'm going to watch it tonight !!
Just found that they're showing this at the harbour lights in may, will be good to see it on the big screen
