Not strictly a cover of The Four Tops’ original * as the lyric is replaced by a Bragg dialogue about unrequited and then unwanted affection, but as I love it, it gets a run out here…
*Queue some pedant or Fowllyd telling me that it was originally recorded by The Left Banke - but Bragg’s homage was to The Four Tops’ version.
