I heard about him the other day and thought it a bit odd, then just thought he must be a crap player if he couldn’t play in a higher league.
Just goes to show that stupidity can be found in all clubs at all levels and leagues.
Kind of a weird one. By the looks of his Wikipedia page he played for Jong Ajax and Waalwijk in the second tier of Dutch football (over 30 appearances between the two) so he can’t have been man-off-the-street level.
You’d have to be extremely bad for a manager to dismiss you after one ressie game - and even then, you’d assume that they’d give you more of a chance. Weird one I guess. Some sort of wrongdoing behind closed doors perhaps?
Oh well.
