I agree that the so called fit and proper person test is a bit of a joke. The source of Abramovich’s billions is extremely questionable to say the least, likewise Thakin Shinawatra when he purchased Man City. The cynic in me thinks that the test only consists of two questions.
No, if we didn’t get the TV money we wouldn’t be the 18th richest club in England, that can change quickly, we won’t be in the top 20 next time, Bournemouth in there sort of makes my point.
I think it’s important not to jump on things Baz says just because Baz says them. There’s no need to shoot down everything he contributes, just the stuff that’s completely factually incorrect or demonstrably ridiculous (like, 90% of it)!
So you agree that we need to be cautious with our spending and not make kneejerk player purchases that we might not be able to afford in the future? That’s 2 u-turns in one thread Baz I’m struggling to keep up
No because this was done a while ago, is boils down to either believing you want to gamble to keep us in the division? Are you happy with the strikeforce? If you are you don’t buy, players coming here will have massive release clauses if we get relegated, we wouldn’t lose much but we would lose out, not as much as £100-£120 million, how big are your balls?
I would deffo buy someone pls. But only if I think they’re really good! I would buy 2 or 3!
I know what you mean about gamble though. I might go to the owners and say, I want to buy two players for £30m each and make them both our top earners. It should help us stay up, but if we do it and still go down we won’t be able to cover the additional cost, so you’ll have to stump up personally mate.
So let me get this right. If you had woken up to the news that we had signed Aaron Lennon for £1.5m in a bid to stave off relegation you wouldnt have gone into instant meltdown?
Let me get this straight, I’d wouldn’t but the bellends didn’t and were genuinely going for Walcott at that money, that says all you need to know about the x box, the scouts and Fat Les.
