Ollie Murs has a high hairline and he is very sensitive about it.

Stuffing badgers!

Then Beavers, which made the younger generation of the family snigger.

Do you not have Sunday lunch, Jack?

I do fatso. Grilled Goat and Braised Bear were the dishes of substance on offer today. Very tasty, if not more than a little tough to chew. :lou_lol:

It’s just that I wouldn’t spend it discussing Olly Murs hairline, stuffing badgers (or beavers) or such like, hence I figured I must’ve missed some kind of Sotonians “in joke” or something, hence the “whoosh” moment.

If you are infering that the topic title is genuinely meant to elicit disscussion about what we talked about during our own Sunday lunches, and the subsequent posts reflect that – then I think I prefered the idea that I was missing out on a joke. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I can always remember a family Sunday lunch discussion many years ago. Somehow the topic was Boy George, I launched into a homophobic rant about him when my dear old mum said “Oh I quite like his new one, what’s it called, Karma,… Karma Sutra”

I am always amazed about some of the chit chat among families, mainly at large wider family gatherings. It seems there is always a chat about travel and not the where we are going on holiday, but the quickest way from A to B. Why does this seem to come up so much?

maybe they’re looking for the quickest escape route from you?

Don’t most of these follow a pattern depending on who is there, how long it is since they’ve seen each other and their ability to be able to self-analyse as they talk?

This is a Barry thread, Burp. Self-analysis implies self-awareness. If Barry hears the words ‘self-awareness’ it’s a tough call which he’ll reach for - his revolver or his dictionary.

Pphahahaha Belter.

:lou_sad:

I was more concerned bout the braised bear RIP :lou_angry:

I’m gonna have Jack Schitt next Sunday.

Trimming bushes. We also talked about eating roadkill.

Oh, and about eating placenta.
