Defence has had a couple of shakey moments but gotta say I like the playing style of the England U21’s, it’s much easier on the eye than the mundain shit the senior squad churn out.
They move the ball a lot quicker and are far more purposeful. They also have a team spirit and camaraderie that’s lacking in the seniors.

Lewis Baker levels for England. We have also hit the bar and the post.
Redmond’s name keeps being linked with the seniors but surely playing games like this for another year or two, has to be better for his developement, benefitting both Saints and for England in the future … and that applies to all the youngsters.
Why they always insist on prematurely pushing the kids into the floundering full England squad is beyond me. Just think how much better someone like Sterling would be for England now, if he stuck with the U21’s for a while longer … he wouldn’t have to be rebuilding his confidence for a start.

Interesting to see Chambers and Stephens in the middle of defence.
