I really hate this expression. It’s nonsensical. There is no time that you’ll ever get back. That’s what time is all about.

Walcott, Liellana, Clyne, Bertrand. Sigh

I think Clyne has had a poor game. Lallana had a good first half.

Nit picker…you know exactly what it means…I should have done something else with my time. How did the second half go…I found something better to do.

I didn’t watch but had to suffer Alan Green, Danny Mills and Chris Waddle moaning in the car.

*On BBC 5Live radio, they weren’t actually in my car

Yawn.

I was more interested in Davis and Long last night.

What have I become?

I blame Lampard, Gerrard, Terry etc.

Did not even know England were playing!

I went to sleep. Very good use of several hours.

I woke up watched the rugby on and saw the BBC min by min for the fooball and fell back asleep before I got any of the results

When are they not playing again?

I understand what the expression means, I just don’t like it. Even if you did something else that you thoroughly enjoyed, you will never get that time back. It think it is important that you agree to never use this phrase again and we’ll leave it there. I shan’t insist on an apology, that is for you to decide.

I voted you down, Lou because you tried to undermine me and hurt my feelings.

It would be better to say “That’s 45 minutes I would have rather spent doing …” And then name something that is really unpleasant or, at least, time wasteful. Like the recent Republican debate. After watching it I said “That’s three hours I would have rather spent watching England play football.”
