When will the dates of the games come out?

I would imagine after the replays have been sorted out?

So I’d imagine a Friday night 1945 kickoff, Saturday at 1500, Sunday and 1500 and Monday at 1945?

Friday 8. Saturday 1230. Sunday 130 or Monday 745 is my guess :lou_wink_2:

I can do the semi final and the final if that helps the team…

So if we win the FA cup and get relegated we can acredit resposibility for both directly to you, very good of you Baz :lou_wink_2:

Don’t go booking your private jet on the strength of it but it looks like we will be playing on the Saturday with time to be confirmed.

They use it as training for their more usual running activities - shoplifting, evading the rozzers, all the things you’d expect.

Also same day as Eastleigh 10K so I won’t be heading north :lou_angry:

Grrr. Was thinking of joining you.

London based folks: who is up for a pleasant Sunday lunch, in a pub that just happens to be showing the match in the corner on a 70 inch 4K screen? *

*thanks to SO5 for inspiration

For fucks sake the only time I can’t do, on the lash afterwards though.

What a shite event.

It seems there is no option catering for people who want to run the fuck _out _of Wigan.

Which most people do, especially the Wiganers.

Some interesting facts about our opponents.

Wiganers didn’t get the Pie Eater name because they especially liked pies, or were particularly good at making them. As the thread title states, the full title is Humble Pie Eaters, a name accorded because during industrial strikes, their miners were always the first back into work. Hence the name. Modern Wiganers will not share this information readily. They just pretend they love pies. Some even go “method”, the fat bastards.

The concentration of support for the football club is piss-weak. It’s a rugby town, first and foremost, and is replete with scousers, mancs and their scions - and their imported loyalties.

Boxing Night has long had an association with fancy dress in the town centre. It is speculated, mostly by me, that pending arrest warrants sparked the craze.

The town centre is served by two railway stations, Wigan Wallgate, a delightful red-brick Victorian number that has trains that’ll take you to Southport or Manchester. Wigan North Western is a proper shithole, and it’ll be the first thing most visitors by train will see.

I passed my driving test there. It was touch and go.
