I’m planning on setting up a Sotonians.com league, but only if I’m the only player.
I’ve always been competitive but hate competition.
I’m crap at these things, start the season with good intentions and then lose interest when my players score fuck all points.

I am joining in the fun. Have never done Fantasy Football before. I am currently bottom of the league.
Bletch, I’ve been a regular subscriber to The Daily Telegraph Fantasy Football since its inauguration. I’ve always preferred the shorter-term competitions for the Euros and World Cup; in fact, on these occasions, I usually get more enjoyment out of the fantasy football than I do from the actual football. But, like Bob, I’ve found I just don’t have the steadfastness, nowadays, to keep it up for a whole Premier League season.
In short, I’m out.

Wow really first time?! I did a fantasy football in the Echo in my early 20s. I came about 30 (and about 3rd woman). I just chucked lots of Italian players in my team and that seemed to work.

Well, intiniki, two years ago I came second in one of the leagues I’m in…to a woman!
So, join up.
[Bletch isn’t sure that he managed to hit the sweet-spot of open-mindedness and inclusivity that he was aiming for]
If you can’t be bothered to pick your initial players, the game allows you to auto-complete the team. So within 5 minutes you can be part of something really big (well, that will be four of us then).
I’ve used the auto-complete feature at the moment, but you can transfer players all the time until the actual Prem kick-off.
So I suspect that I’ll sit down on Saturday morning and make my team the exact opposite of Big Bad Bob’s.
OK. As discussed in the rules I mentioned above, the league will be deemed to be finished at 12:01pm on Sunday 9th August 2015.
So let’s see who won…

The game lets you compare yourself against the rest of the league on a weekly/monthly basis, as well as the overall victory.

Damn, I thought I was being cunning by waiting for the teams to be announced before picking my players but now I see my team won’t be entered until next week
