Mine has changed completely. I think it is impossible to keep the same albums, each time, as my tastes for music change by the week. Really into System of a down at the moment.
I’m a wee bit more stoic in my all time favourite albums. Appetite for Destruction is never leaving, nor will Rage Against the Machine’s eponymous debut. The AC/DC album is a bit of a cheat in that it’s as live album, but it makes little difference to the time it gets played in the car. I don’t see the Dark Side of the Moon or Arcade Fire’s Funeral moving off that list anytime soon either
“Is this it?” was the first guitar based album both my girls truly loved. I’ll take that, not leave it. Sleater-Kinney’s One Beat was released in 2002, and still has my respect for its political cheekiness and bravery. Killer Mike makes some very decent rap music, but riffs on social issues instead of the size of his schlong.
Most of the others are movable, but not shakable, by anything I’ve heard recently.
Haven’t listened to Fever to Tell for a bit. I think it’s only on there because it’s my fave YYYs album, and they’re so different now from what they were then.
My favourites have changed over the years. Once upon a time U2 would have been there but not any more. Now I am in my 60s I have a huge record collection and my favourites change all the time. If it were Desert Island disc time though I’d go with - The Beatles, Yes, Bruce Springsteen, Television, Alt-J. Ask me again next week and it could well change.
Fav albums . Revolver The Beatles, The Yes Album Yes, Pictures at and Exhibition ELP, The Joshua Tree U2, Marque Moon Television. Ask me again and they would change apart from Revolver - my fav album of all time.
