Technically speaking that was a Saintsweb moment. But how cool has that worked out! Would have thought you’d all actually get on!!

PS. Any Goatboy moment, is a favourite moment.

My favourite moment was being 9th in a list of 10 favourite moments, which included two admissions of running out of ideas/ not being able to remember any more favourites.

Ahh, my love for Fatso will always be unrequited (and secretly I’m hoping it will stay that way).

Each time a poster felt able to share something really personal with a bunch of ‘strangers’.

I knew then we had a community.

It’s been a weird old year in hindsight. For me, it was no different than any other and I never expected it to end as it did. When I was dipping into various Batman computer games, screenshotting and captioning the results, I never knew that it was going to lead to the banhammer. After all, it was “mostly harmless” compared to most of the content I’d floated over there.

Dunno if there was any specific point at which I felt like this was going to fly. I do know that without people signing up and posting there would be nowt here, and can’t really thank the early joiners enough for getting it off the ground. Honestly humbled that this is even a thing, and I’ve got a good idea of what that thing is.

I’ve never been comfy with the term ‘papsweb’, even though I know a lot of you love it. Bit too much self-aggrandisement for a chap that doesn’t really have any problem with self-aggrandising in the first place! It ain’t that though; one of the best things on here is watching people come on and have a proper go.

That qualified, the best moment for me is watching papsweb (sordid little griefhole for banned abuser of other posters) become Sotonians (best pound for pound #saintsfc discussion forum on the planet*).

Thanks so much for making it happen.

* Assuming one is not that arsed about #saintsfc

My Papsweb epiphany came after a bit of a downer. I had searched my memory banks for someone called Louise from Coxford and drawing an unexpected blank…after all I do know everyone born in THE CITY…even if I’ve not met them all yet.

Then it struck me that scenario was impossible…I was born in The General for papsake! That’s COXFORD! We are of the same stock…WE’RE RELATED. :lou_lol:

An informal welcome to Sotonians. Who knows? You may have been a small factor in its formation. I’ll always remember you of the poster that reminded us of Brendan’s statements concerning our Champions League ambitions. I created an image off the back of that which went gangbusters on Twitter, and was so popular that Twitter stars Connor and Steve decided to rip it off and pass it off as their own*

*I may have pulled them both up on that. Several times.**

** the public humiliation may have left Lord Fiver with an itchy trigger finger

So hello, CC. If you had a small part in bringing this enterprise about, I salute you for it.

Cheers amigo I am just happy I have found the reason (after thread research yesterday about you being banned) why the muppet show is sooooo quiet these days

Brendan had it coming as soon as he utterred those words and karma always has a way of paying her debts.
