I am really looking forward to the Sotonians first match day thread. I think it is going to be a good one.

Also the first competitive game will be a European game. Now that is how you pop the cherry of a match day thread in style!

Now a good win, would be even better.

I am pinning this all on the good luck charm, that is Pap. His first season ticket was last season and we had a stormer. Now a forum/chat board I am expecting top 4 and a trophy.

No pressure then :wink:

I reckon the first Papsweb match drink should be a European away game. We could drink cheap continental lager, get the shits, throw plastic furniture aroundā€¦that kind of thing. Epic.

Iā€™m looking forward to it too! We had 10 online for the England game when we had less members, and that was just stupid fucking England. Deffo looking forward to a fucking stupid Saints match!

To be honest pal, Iā€™d probably prefer you didnā€™t! The Alpine act is a very predictable, sad and lonely one. I genuinely thought the lad might grow out of it after a while but it seems he loves the attention too much. To be fair he dialed it down a lot last season but why wouldnā€™t you, it was our highest league finish in 25 years.

How many days until pre-seaso starts, FFS? The U-21 Euros and the birdsā€™ world cup just arenā€™t filling the void adequately.

Guess who I am. We should look to finish 17th. I would be happy with that now. We should go out of Europe straight away and bring Hoddle back, best manager we ever had!
