I don’t think this is thorough enough. Maybe dates and times would help too. :lou_wink_2:

My list is shorter funnily enough. Involved training days / Xmas parties and gigs.

Does not matter, some I have only been to for gigs… Tell all. Right back to driving!

I have been to a few. The only ones I bother mentioning are the ones that are no longer there. Plough Lane, Maine Road and Upton Park are the notable aways. Was very lucky to have gone to the Dell when I did. Was close to impossible once the all seater stuff came in.

Just about to embark on a 30+ hour trip back to Southampton, so I might add a few to the list and post if I get wifi anywhere, but I thought it would be interesting to start with the grounds I went to that are no longer in use. I may have got some of the names wrong, but the memory isn’t what it should be these days!

Most of those grounds were visited in the good old days on the Clive Foley specials, although Somerton Park was an interesting one as I was doing an IT course in Bristol in 1980 (I think) and a course colleague was a Newport fan and managed to get me in to watch the Welsh Cup Final match they played there against Shrewsbury (no idea how they got to play in the welsh cup!), although I have absolutely no recollection of the match itself.

60 something for me. Plus 15-20 abroad including a crowd of 98,000 for a derby game at the Azteca in Mexico City - full on.

Ok as I have also been to many of those mentioned, including the “no longer there” list, I am just picking a couple of grounds that have not yet been listed by others:

Sixfields, Northampton

Buckingham Rd, Aylesbury (no longer there)

York Road, Maidenhead (oldest senior ground in continuous use by one club. First game 1871)

37 of current league grounds plus another 7 where I’ve been to the old ground but not the new (Leicester, Man City, Swansea, Stoke, Middlesbrough, Brighton, Coventry). Have been to six old and new - Saints (obv), Reading, Arse, Sunderland, Bolton, Millwall

A pathetic total given number of years of support - my excuse is that I had young children when we did our trip through the divisions…!

Who’s PLAYED at a league ground though? One for me - Kenilworth Road - Berkshire Department of Employment vs whatever-county-Luton-are-in Department of Employment, 1988 (never mind being a league ground - it was a top division ground then!)

My dear old grandad (rest his soul) was the one that hot me into to football.

Took me to my first ever match, 1-1 draw at Loftus Road between QPR (His team) & Swindon in '96. Went there a few more times with him, before sadly, his health deteriorated and one time he took a slip down the stairs.

After that, when I’d visit for weekends he took me to see the local team, Maidenhead. Some happy memories at York Road. Nowt really football related. Just me being the soppy prick I am.

Not remotely ashamed to say that, God I miss that man.

(not FL yet, but also Eastleigh)
Also, Tranmere.

I give you Dunfermline - and I raise you Cowdenbeath!

In 1980 it had an excuse for a running track that I think may have been used for demolition derbies.

And if you don’t know what that is you missed the best years of World of Sport.

The terracing was just some sort of slag heap, but it had a nice view of the town.

That’s a lovely story. Used to love going with my father, pretty much the same.

I had a friend who played for Maidenhead in about 1997-2001 Andrew (Andy) Robertson. Used to get a lift to work in Henley with him. Used to go and watch him play quite a lot.

Here he is second from the right on the front row. In 97/98
