I am with Bletch on this… last time I played football manager was in 1982 when its was so much simpler…

Looks too complicated and therefore hasnt got a chance of overcoming my impatience and fleeting attention span.

This to me would be like the digital SLR camera that i bought and then took every photo on the auto setting cos I couldnt be arsed to read the manual

The game comes with watered down simplier version which is a lot quicker to play through a season and is less complicated.

Plus in the full game you can allocate a lot of the tasks to other members of staff in the responsibiliities screen. Training/contracts/friendlies etc etc you don’t have to do if you don’t want to.

Will there be improvements such as -

  1. inflation

  2. real stadiums

  3. not all regens have afros or mohawks

  4. things like player asks to leave, then you make friends and he signs a new contract, then he moans that he didn’t get transferred out as promised

  5. the crowd don’t look like the crowd from pitfighter 90’s fight game only all in football shirts like Newcastle fans.

If so, I am in!

  1. It isn’t going to have inflation. It isn’t Ultimate Soccer Manager 2 where in 2069 hotdogs cost £300

  2. “Real stadiums”… what exactly do you mean? FM doesn’t have the licenses to make stadiums look as they do in real life. Plus unlike FIFA, over the seasons you play the game the stadiums can get bigger in FM which makes using real stadiums hard to implement as they have to be made bigger

  3. Not all of them do

  4. van Dijk behaviour you mean? Players can get upset and request transfers yes

  5. The fans look better each year, but the game is unlikely to ever be at the same level of graphics as FIFA
