There arenāt many bad actors on GoT. Ed Sheeran has got to be up there with the worst
Some post finale thoughts and questions.
What was going through Tyrionās head as he stood outside Danyās cabin? Is it simply the sullen look of a man that has been definitively friendzoned, or something we donāt know about, such as a deal with Cersei that no-one else knows about? If, for example, heās made a deal whereby her unborn kid ascends the Throne, any kids coming from Jon and Dany are going to put paid to that. Daenerys was told that sheād suffer three betrayals. Sheās two to the good right now. Iām wondering whether the conflicted Tyrion might be the last one to do so.
Where are Jaime and Cersei at right now? Heās riding away from Kings Landing, but will he be able to take the Lannister army north? Heās the commander in the field, so presumably any orders have to go through him. Can Cersei stop him regardless?
I did like the shots of snow falling in Kings Landing, not least because of what that implies. I do not know how good a military strategist the Night King is, but he could head down to Kings Landing with a dragon, kill the population, then raise them for an instant encircling position on the humans. The finale did drop that million figure a couple of times this episode. A million strong army of the dead pouring out from KL might be a way to pay it off.
Doesnāt have to use the dragon to kill folk. The Night King can freeze things on his own. He could use the dragon for transport, give KL a real cold snap, raising any inhabitants that die to kill more. Rinse and repeat.
It would be a cunning tactical plan, but the on-going plot seems to have Cersei rooted in Kings Landing and she doesnt look like budging any time soon. An attack on KL would take her out of the game and with 6 episodes to go, she looks like she still has a big part to play. It has all the hallmarks of a relentless march south by The Dead with a final face off at KL with the Night King and a final resolution of who gets the throne. Then again, being GoT anything is possible.
This with a slight change -Brona and Tirion, manage to escape carnage with aroun 45 acantily clad ladies of the night and 100 barrels of fine wineā¦Thier reward for being the two most entertaining charcaters to have survived (so far)
Is it too early to start hyping Game of Thrones? I think not.
Some predictions for the final season:-
Both Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen to die.
Tyrion is Targaryen and will sit the Iron Throne at the end.
Jaime will kill Cersei
Kingās Landing to be frozen and zombiefied, creating 1,000,000 wights
Massive battle of encirclement at Winterfell, the dead arriving from north and south, in which the living eventually prevail, but not without great loss.
Can you not just get your norks somewhere else, or do they have to be framed in fantasy tropes?
And which would you like to see more? Game of Thrones norks, because youāre used to them, or Lord of The Rings norks, precisely because youāve never seen them and have a particular thing for dwarven knockers?
It is Game of Thrones night. Theories will be either confirmed or completely fucked. Major characters will probably die, but unlike the theories, will not be replaced with brand new ones after the episodeās end.
Iāll keep at Sky Atlantic pace as not to spoil. Sotonians watch party?
Tbh, havenāt watched any of it but read all the books and had a good conversation with Tom about whether the latest series is effectively slash/fan fictionā¦
Guess it doesnāt matter if itās good. I remain blissful in my ignorance
