Father John Misty this Friday.
How was it?
Went to see Maiden Scotland at the weekend. For a bunch of aging men, they were pretty good. Also played Powerslave, which is my favourite Maiden song!
Also the comedy gig thread is a really good suggestion. It is a scene I try and keep an eye on, but miss so much! Nothing like good live Comedy.
Always looking out for Dave Gorman!
A mate has managed to bag a pair of tickets for Radiohead @ the Roundhouse tonight.
Probably a terrible idea, but seeing as I am probably going to miss them next week Iām going to risk it.
'Kin excited!

Excellent. I have a degree of man love for him though so may be biased. Finished with a rollicking* version of The Ideal Husband.
First time I saw him I had no idea who he was and was blown away. I knew what to expect this time and he still excelled.
*virgin use of that word
I would have gone but have seen too many of my favourites sold short by the appalling acoustics over the years.
Saw him at the Roundhouse on the Friday instead. No way was I fucking that gig experience up.
Off to see Kasabian at the King Power on Saturday. Should be a bit of a party atmosphere thatās for sure!
Iām going with Mrs RB to see Adam Ant tomorrowā¦
Today she put on some of the Kings of the Wild Frontier album and I was horrified to discover that it is fucking awful.
Sheās not a fan of me giving a running commentary on the plot and acting shortcomings of Eastenders, so I will summon best behaviour tomorrow and remain silent as her beloved dandy nutcase shreds his own back catalogue.
Ridicule is nothing to be scared of, The RaleighBoy.
I donāt drink, donāt smoke.
What do you do?
is he ok nowadays? Iām sure he had some pretty serious mental health issues a while back.
The RaleighBoy is dealing with them Fatstuff, but I think heād prefer not to discuss them on the forum.
Subtle innuendos follow.
Heading to Common People this weekend. Anyone else?
This was excellent. Stood by the sound desk so I had something to lean on and could stop people crashing into my knackered knee.
Been wanting to see them for years, and to do so for the first time at one of my favourite venues was brilliant. Was a good set, as youād expect plenty of stuff from the new album and a good smattering of stuff from the other albums. It was still Radiohead, so it wasnāt āall the hitsā - but still good fun.
Also, a certain Steve Davis was stood next to us. No, not our NI Superstar. The snooker player, and now DJ (playing Glasto, btw!).
Adam Ant wasnāt as bad as I feared - he threw a lot of guitar at it.
The whole audience was up - apart from row Aā¦what is that about?
Iām so keen on this act I get the best tickets, but I refuse to even tap my feet!
Bloody media!
Yup. Zero interest in the music other than Lonely The Brave (and a decent Southampton-based metal band in Our Hollow, Our Home) but itās a fun little festival thatās only 15-minutes walk from where I live. Throw in some sunshine (we hope) and it seems mental to miss it.
