šŸ—£ Gigs

Itā€™s a week since I went to St Maryā€™s Church in Guildford (Sat 3rd Dec) to see a favourite band of mine, ā€œSweet Billy Pilgrimā€. Iā€™d never managed to catch them live before and wasnā€™t disappointedā€¦all in good voice and the church acoustics surprisingly good. I suppose it helped standing next to the guy with the sound mixing tabletā€¦even asked him to bump up the treble a bit to compensate for my age related top-end hearing loss. :lou_wink_2:

This is the view I got standing next to the guy shooting the official video (not online yet)ā€¦not my picture however.

Went to see Super Furry Animals last night. They performed Radiator and Fuzzy Logic back to back. It was brilliant. I then danced in a shitty pub for what seems like hours. Missed the last train home and stayed at a friends house, which only encouraged me to get more pissed.

insanely jealous.

Had tickets for wembley on Thursday, but itā€™s really not the place to be when youā€™re still on crutches.

:lou_sad:

Mate thatā€™s awful :slight_frown: They tour often so ā€¦

Went to see Chic featuring Niles Rodgers last night and the beautiful Hammersmith Apollo for a charity Autismrocks.

I was beyond tired so probably not ideal. Heā€™s written quite a few hits hasnā€™t he. I felt quite young in the audience as those in their late teens early twenties when they were at their height made up most of the audience. I witnessed a new phenomenon 60 year olds with tablets recording the whole bloody thing.

ā€¦and your point is? :lou_wink_2:

Donā€™t lie, Lifer. We know youā€™re older than 60.

Trueā€¦but my point is what do you expect a 60 year old to record it onā€¦Super 8? :lou_lol:

Something a bit smaller! Just use your phone and not a bloody 10 inch tablet.

Saw The Cure at the SSE a few weeks ago - absolutely brilliant!

Also got tickets for Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks in Hyde Park for July

Seen headliner (and sotonian) Sean McGowan a few times. Worth a listen.

Saw McGowan supporting Billy Bragg - an interesting artist.

Went to see one of the bands I needed to tick off of my list to see live, Avenged Sevenfold. They were in Newcastle and very good.

Just the below I need to tick off.

Aerosmith - Download 2017

Queens of the Stoneage

REM - need to reform!

Some high quality stuff on that bill.

I had no idea Chrome were still a going concern.

Nightmare traffic but made it to the middle of the Desert for Guns n Roses

And got 50% discount on a ticket for Bryan Adams next week!

25,000 here

Isnā€™t their lead singerā€™s name an anagram of Up The Shitter (or some other sexual act)?

They ainā€™t Metallica.

But what an Epic gig.

Could listen to Slash playing that Guitar for years
