Green Man tickets bought.

That line up…woof already.

I love that album (formative years etc.) but fuck me if ever a band dined out on one release…all down to Andy Weatherall anyway.

Arrgh

Just wrote a stunning review of last night’s gig and went to insert an emoticon and the page kicked me out. FFS Pap.

Off for a bacon sarnie to calm down

Going to see Scritti Politti at The Roundhouse next Friday, now that Green has got over his stagefright.

He is also promising a new album later in the year.

I am also going to see “An Evening with Ian McCulloch” in Skatesville next month.

Seen Green several times with the BeF gigs, should be good.

Sat in a queue for 15 minutes to get tickets for Iggy & Josh Homme at the Royal Albert Hall this morning.

Sold out just as I got through. Cunts.

Ah live music is great. At the Libertines tonight. But already encountered some tossers in the crowd. So many idiots in this world.

Thanks. Once I posted that I realised there is a link. Particularly when they got 4 scantily clad women to come on stage and “dance sexy”. Low point. Thought I’d gone back to the 70s and benny hill.

I’d love to see Pete mumble his way through “Ernie”.

This is true, Andy Weatherall made that album. Still one of my favourites

So I probably won’t be going to see the Libertines again unless there isn’t much else on another stage at a festival. I was exhausted and not in the best mood so that may have clouded my enjoyment of a night out.

The “fans” were on the whole beery lads who didn’t give a fuck about anyone else. It’s quite amazing how self absorbed people are. Other half said a guy was pissing in the sink when there were plenty of urinals. Nice. Still didn’t quite beat the Kasabian (I think) crowd at the Guildhall who just pissed in corridors and by the cloakroom (where i was working at the time).

Next up Massive Attack so hopefully a little more chilled.

I found this when I saw them at ally pally September 14. So much agro in the crowd, but saying this non stop energy every song. I think along with the beer, just the adrenaline that they create with the consist high tempo are not a good mix. They do have a close to punk image that is reflected in their crowds as well. But you are right, this does boiler over in to being plain idiots.

I have found the same at Oasis, Stone Roses and Arctic Monkeys gigs in the past! Also there seems to always be a fight at Ian Brown gigs.

Add Beady Eye (but not Noel), plus Stone Roses too. But that was Stafford V Festival where I witnessed a domestic abuse incident a few years earlier. Has a real edge to it.

Consequence of the lad culture a few years back? Or just alcohol?

I’ve seen similar at Libs, Arctics & Stones gigs too sadly. They do seem to attract knobby crowds.

Massive Attack should be fun, I think Young Fathers are their support for this tour. They are amazing live, when the three of them harmonise you can’t pick their voices apart. If you are able to get down in time I’d recommend checking them out.

Booked up Primavera yesterday. Should be loads of fun. Finally going to see Radiohead, who have somehow passed me by til now. Even better, hit a 14-fold Acca yesterday that that pretty much pays for the my flights, accommodation and festival ticket. Happy days.
