Matt Berry was great in Heartbeat.

I think his sister, Neneh, was a singer too. Talented family.

Off to see Seratones tonight at Lexington in London.

I know nothing about them except Choking on Your Spit is growing on me. Staying up there tonight with a mate and we just picked a random band.

Saw The Spitfires in Brighton Saturday night (or was it Friday?). Derivative but theyā€™d grown on me by the end. Did a Housemartins cover and reminded me of the Redskins. I might buy the new albumā€¦ maybe.

Most shocking thing was amount of tragic posturing by the 50 year olds in the crowd. All a bit England fan abroad. Poor.

Went to see Lucky Peterson and his band at the Discovery Centre in Winchester a few weeks ago. Took my teenage son who was the youngest there. I was the second youngest and Iā€™m a nasty middle aged bastard.

It was very good, though. Decent journey bluesman with a terrific band. Lots of old people dancing at the end. It lifted the spirits somewhat.

Iā€™m off to this in a few weeks: http://simplethingsfestival.co.uk/

Lots of cool stuff for only 35 pound notes.

At the Joiners currently. Just seen Natives from the New Forest area. Really enjoyed their set. Next up is Mothxr.

Thatā€™s a great line up. Steve Mason, Suuns, Karen Gwyer, Jessy Lanzaā€¦thatā€™s great value.

Had to wait over an hour between Natives and Mothxr last night due to technical issues re sound check. During that time 2 lads decided to dance wildly about whilst banging into pretty much everyone. Lord they had pointy elbows. Didnā€™t mind them dancing and having a good time but did seem to be doing it on purpose as there was plenty of room to dance without touching anyone else.

I really enjoyed Mothxr. Not sure what genre youā€™d put them under but seen Indie as one label. The lead singer was in a fairly big US teen show and some films so there were lots of young women there. One of whom did not move at all to the music and stared at the lead singer all night in a slightly creepy stalker way. He came out to the front of the bar to do the meet and greet at the end and there was a little queue of young women eagerly awaiting their selfie with the Hollywood star.

Iā€™d definitely download the album and would see them again. Hopefully theyā€™ll get a bit more recognition for the music.

Sweet Johnny Nomates has just bought a single ticket to see one of his fave bands ā€œSweet Billy Pilgimā€ in Guildford on 3rd Decemberā€¦

One of the bands I crusade for as a musical evangelist.

Anyone interested in 2 x Jean Michel Jarre tickets for Brighton on 6th October?

Row J in the front stalls.

Iā€™ll now be up north that day.

Upvoted for the yummy Lisa Faulkner.

Off to see Graham Parker tonight.

Not a massive fan, but my mate is. Iā€™m sure itā€™ll be a good night anyway.

Still owe this place a review of The Seratones which Iā€™ll do when I get a mo. Teaser-> the were excellent.

Excited about getting that missing ā€˜yā€™ now.

The The were excellent?

Were they supporting?

The Pedantic Twats.

If you get a chance to see them, do.

Youā€™ll find them playing at The Mirror most mornings.
