Happy Queenie Day!

I am very surprised at the lack of coverage of this on this forum, especially as I consider the vast majority of posters on here as avid royalists.

Any, congratulations to the Queen for winning the lottery of life, and still being alive.

Huzzah!

Isn’t this a practise where someone sits on another’s face?

I have now decided the emoticons are somewhat rank.

There’s an emoticon thread where you can properly vent your spleen. Bearsie was supposed to be doing some proper nawty ones but couldn’t be arsed in the end, it seems.

Anyway back OT, longest reigning monarch in the UK, go Liz girl.

Does anyone here remember what it was like not having Liz as our reigning monarch?

In 63 years she has done just two things for me.

Deprived me of the smug satisfaction at the death of a monarch

Saved me from the horror of another coronation.

When Charlie gets in we’re likely to have another death and another Coronation in a short space of time!!!

Courtesy of NewsThump.

Should be commemorated with a public holiday, as it’s not, couldn’t give a toss!

Not me…and I claim elder statesman status here. I remember my brother going to the Coronation street party but I wasn’t allowed to go…too young. Bit pissed I didn’t get a Coronation Mug.

YWIMC…

Then you’ve witnessed the death of at least one monarch, John!

Agree. And it should be celebrated every day the Queen is still alive.

She’s a record breaker every time she goes for her morning “bombing run” now, isn’t she? Public holidays forever!

You mean…you don’t all get them! I’m shocked.
