Gazza seems to be improving…In the friendlies, at least. Maybe big match pressure is his biggest enemy.

Yeah. I’m gonna make the most of watching him while we still have him. As Alpine is not here, I’m gonna have to take his place as the pessimist. We’'l never be able to keep him.

Makes me smile to think of that thread on TSW where posters were queuing up to express how rubbish he was. Some people never seem to learn that certain players take a little time to adjust to a new league, new team mates, new style of play etc.

Haha. Now, I am probably wrong. I was wrong once in 1972 and again in 1986, so it could well happen again…I am one of those that STILL thinks Ramirez can come right and shine for us. Despite all this time and evidence against my opinion, for some reason I just can’t seem to let that feeling go. I probably just need the right medication.

Sadly, I suspect you are wrong, Ohio, which is a shame because it would be great to see him finally come good. Unfortunately, I reckon the club, including a lot of the fans, grossly overestimated his ability, especially when applied to the Premier League. Actually, I’d be surprised to see him still here in September.

Could’ve used a season in league 1 to toughen him up a bit, like Morgan + Lallana. That bro could’ve been a Contender!

I don’t expect to see him play for us again, but that little flicker of “what if” still nags me.
