Hopes for Portsmouth this year

I see that the scummers kick of against Carlisle United this afternoon.

So what hopes do we have to befall them this year.

Obviously relegation out of the league is No 1 on the list but what else?

Hope springs eternal in the late summer…only to be crushed in the spring. It’s the hope that gets them.

So sad. :lou_sad:

I hope they continue to exist where they are, scrabbling through league 1 for the rest of eternity.

I must be in a good mood this morning, that’s possibly the nicest thing I’ve ever said about pfc.

I see they are favourites for the league! Based on what I do not know?!

Yes a few Carlisle fans are taking the journey down… Come on Carlisle.

Oh I expect them to fail in the playoffs again!

Did the goal keeper Jones just leave them ?

With the appalling quality of League Two, dodging promotion again would be quite an incredible achievement.

But I hope they manage to pull it off.

Some sort of scandal to add a bit flavour to the season. Something involving racial abuse or sexual assault seems the most likely, but one can hope for something more in the vein of Avram’s trip to the massage parlour.

Have we not got a resident Skate to explain why they will win the league by Christmas with an attendence of 33,000 for home and away games.

If I know your average skate, and let’s face it, all of them are pretty average, I fear we are in for a year of sickening triumphalism.

The criminality will be written from history, as will the booing of the last three seasons, and all we will hear about is how the mighty partially-fan-owned blue army is selling more tickets than us* and on their way back to glorytown.

We will be told we are jealous etc.

It will be quite tiresome.

I would really enjoy seeing them get off to a flyer and be top at crimbo. Then a bad run of form, an injury to a key player or 2 and perhaps one side of their ground closed due to safety issues. Ending the season by missing the playoffs by 1 goal due to an injury time winner elsewhere. Condemning them to another yr in league 2 and a hefty maintenance bill to get stand reopened

:innocent:

That they finally wash* en masse off Hayling Island so the rest of Hampshire doesn’t have to deal with their sickly stench for a day longer than necessary.

League 1, they should go so lucky!

Why not chuck Everton to be bottom at Xmas in with it. Can get around 100 to 1 on that. Although reading the eveton melt down on their forum would be worth more than money

League 1, they should go so lucky!

Accidentally promoting them to league 1 explains my comment directly after :lou_wink_2:
