Hot hot hot!

Summer in England - is there a better place to be? Probably, but the excitement of a hot day wins it for me!

My day will consist of being stuck in an office. Soaking up the rays at lunch time. Anyone getting to do anything fun over the next few days of our heat wave?

Kid goat birthday tomorrow. Family party in the garden. Happy days.

Indoors packing bloody boxes for a house move that may or not fucking happen.

Grrrr.

Stuck in office today and tomorrow, but off to Wimbledon on Thursday. Court One tickets, no less. Looking forward to that, as I’ve never been before.

Gazing out of the window of SE1 office at the postage stamp of blue sky that I can see. Lovely day at Lord’s yesterday though

Fowllyd it won’t surprise you to learn that rain is forecast for Thursday, after two days of over 30 degree sunshine…

Well, if it wasn’t for the glare, I’d seriously consider setting up outside to do my work.

Gorgeous up here in Liverpool.

Looks like a drop or so in the morning, but fine by the time we get there. If it rains I may just have to drink more Pimms…

Corporate do old chap - entertaining clients or being entertained?

Or an ill-deserved day off?

Looking out of my office window on the 6th floor, staring at the sea and beach and wishing I was there instead! Old Harry rocks in the distant, Bournemouth pier nearer. If I look the other way I can see the Polar Bear on the Isle of Wight which means it’s a clear day.

Ill-deserved day off. My ever-loving wife got tickets in the ballot thing; as she doesn’t work Thursday afternoons it’s perfect.

Hot? You call 35C Hot?

Pah, you know nuffink Yon Snowtonians.

Enjoy it and let it remind you that you actually did have 362 other days of the year when you really should have popped out and bought a cheap electric fan in a sale or on Ebay, which is the thought you’ll have later tonight when you try and get to sleep

It’ll all be over soon, it’s Wimbledon after all

Got tickets a few years ago via the ballot. Found the whole day superb. The organisation of the event was second to none. I’m sure you will love it.

Sat in the garden reading and drinking wine. Have you noticed there are no clouds…not one solitary cloud and no con-trails. The planes are still flying over but no con trails. Discuss.

What’s your take on the great should men wear shorts to work debate. I’m all for equality so it’s a definite yes from me, tho aesthetically there might be some challenges! I feel for the poor guys wearing suits on a day like this.

Don’t want to gloat but first bottle’s finished…the missus is making a pasta salad…the dog’s crashed out…and I’m on my first bottle of cool Peroni (OK I know) straight out of the fridge.

P.S. Still no clouds and still no con-trails.

Re shorts (don’t seem to be able quote messages btw - just brings up the original without my additions - obviously some complicated algorithm that deletes rubbish…)

Shorts without any pretence that it’s formal wear - fine. But the Bermuda Shorts thing, with formal jacket, tie and socks is THE worst look ever devised for males

Well that is last Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, yesterday and today, outside cycling. 30 miles in the sunshine today! I maybe broke, but this is the life! :sunny::biking_man:

Hold on. Don’t dish out the prizes just yet!!

Sat in my back garden drinking wine and feeding the koi, having just come from my front porch watching four young bunny rabbits frolicking in the front yard. Not a cloudless sky, but near enough.

All this while a topless babe installs a new sattelite dish to replace my cable TV…OK, not a topless babe, but the rest is all there.
