India V England 2nd Test

England 100 - 3

2nd fifty of the eight required. :lou_lol:

Moeen caught for 2 by Kohli of Jadeja

England 105- 4 76 overs remaining

Stokes bowled Jayant Jadav for 6

England 115 - 5

As predicted by Rally boy the middle order collapse has happened and unless Root and Bairstow can put on a world record 6th wicket partnership it’s all over

Root out LBW to shami for 25

England 115 for 6

Bairstow and Rashid in both on 0

Broad says England can still save this test.

But that was last night before the fall of 4 wickets for 23 runs

Rashid goes for 4 Caught Saha bowled Shami

England 129-7

Day 5 lunch.

England have thrown it away again with the middle order failing to deliver again.

Domino’s Pizza get more deliveries right than this mob.

England 142 - 7

Straight after lunch Ansari bowled by Ashwin for a duck

England 143-8

Broad is now in to save the match as promised last night :lou_eyes_to_sky:

England 154 -8

The third required of 8 50’s

Bairstow 34 Broad 1

Broad has failed LBW Jayant for 5

England 158-9

Anderson in and out a pair of golden ducks

India win by 247.

7 wickets fell with each scoring less than 7 runs three of them were ducks

For professional cricketers that has got to be addressed they bat or bowl and we are meant to have a long batting line up 3 players got into double figures

Report card

Must try harder or should be sent home

I would like to thank anybody that has read my drunken ramblings whilst I have been on leave, Please be assured this will not be happening for the next test as I will be stone cold sober working 14 hour shifts whilst still watching football at 03:45 in the morning.

One could see this collapse as we did ok yesterday and gave ourselves a chance…

At least an English lad won the Golf yesterday

From the BBC

Anderson has registered the first king pair for England since 1906, and only the third ever.

As we could see this coming I’m sure the coaching staff and players saw it as well - surely they must be able to do something to address it??

Even with the ball turning square we must have batsmen who make no effort to score runs but can simply protect their wicket for a while.

You’d have thought.

It wasn’t just the turning, it was the ball staying low etc. etc. Plus the mental pressure from the Indians, all around the bat, appealing everything…

Pitch deterioated terribly for the 5th day BUT we knew this was going to happen, it was losing 4 wickets for fuck all on the 2nd day that did us for.
