:fifa_logo: Infantino new Fifa boss

Approve of the hairdo if nothing else.

A brave new dawn ? Don’t know much about him. Anyone else?

Gutted that Sexwale didnt get the gig!

Meet the new boss

The Swiss have had their chance - isn’t it about time someone else had a go? They could’ve spread it about a bit - what’s wrong with the way they do the World Cup-hosting vote?

I was involved in a pitch for a project at FIFA some years ago, the place stank of money and it was mostly staffed by Americans. I remember being struck at the time about how it was a mile removed from football as I understand it. Obvioulsy it is a business but it would be nice if it was not such a cold business, I guess I am just a romantic/deluded to want those involved to have a passion for the game. It’s hard to see how anything about the way FIFA operates can radically change for the better when you look at the list of numpties standing for (inherent pocket lining) office.

Best candidate (of the limited selection) probably. Time will tell

Wasnt he close to Platini? Would have prefered someone new from outside.

Best fellow but still don’t trust them, as long as they refuse to give us a World Cup I will hate them, bitter but correct as many others have been given it who shouldn’t have, we are the most deserving of it.

As much to the point, I think, is Fifa’s adoption of reforms to its structure and operation, outlined here. My favourite sentence in that article (not particularly salient, it has to be said) is this one:

Four candidates remain in the running after Tokyo Sexwale withdrew at the extraordinary congress in Zurich.

An extraordinary congress indeed, I feel. I think the person who wrote that knew exactly what they were doing.

Tokyo Sexwhale is a great name though

Ahemmmm…

Meh I thought him not being the new boss but whatever
