Being groomed for the manager roles further down the line?
It could arguably be some of the best money the club has ever spent. Kelv hasn’t played much since we hit the Prem, but there’s no doubt that he’s Saints through and through now, and judging from a lot of the videos, had a lot of time to fuck about and build a bit of cohesion.
He’s basically going to be doing his same job, except with no actual danger of goalkeeping.

I think he has the respect of the squad and I could see him enforcing discipline if anyone gets a bit bigtime.
If he is keeping the manager and dressing room on the same page I hope he speaks french.

Thank God, I was seriously worried about the Bantz level in the dressing room with him retiring. I know VVD is a bit Bantz (e.g. top squirting of Sadio with drinks bottle LOLZ), but nothing comes close to the KD Bantzathon.

That is a long term worry. He was the old man of the squad back then.
Can you imagine the disruption he’ll cause as a beloved geriatric at the club?
