Malcolm Ross (Philly Saint)

Sadly passed away. I only met him once but knew him from another forum a while back. Lovely guy. RIP Malc.

Malc is the one that coined the Big Bad Bob moniker for me, and it stuck. Had the fortune of meeting him on more than one occasion.

A true Saints fan in every sense of the word, I believe he travelled to all Saints home games (and maybe away ones) from Phillidelphia when he worked there.

Always sad to lose a member of the Saints family.

RIP

He wasn’t that old was he? The fact that he flew home from Philly for our home games always utterly amazed me in its insanity.

Not sure how old he was. It was many years ago when I met him but think he would be around early 60s now.

56 apparently. No age.

0nly 1/2 dozen years older than me! Blimey.

How did he die? Illness? Accident?

He had been unwell for a while but I dont know what with.

Very sad, he certainly was a true Saint although I never met him but I do remember hearing about his long distance support…incredible. RIP…much too young. :lou_sad:

Didn’t know him personally but as others have said, that is some commitment.

I always find it astonishing how powerful the draw of ‘your’ football club is. Wherever you may be in the world it’s like home is whispering to you, welcoming you back. A connection that endures beyond all sense.

RIP.
