Well, if he can get him back on form like he did Saido Berahino then why not…

TBH, when I read the Sky “article”, you could have inserted any of our attacking players in there and the sentiment would have been the same.

Someone needs to be the “Give the ball to him” player, all Redmond needs to master is a one-two and shoot not just a cut in and shoot :lou_wink_2:

Worth a read for this alone…

“… once you get a semi anything can happen”

Lol.

With his 1st team selection he has managed to dispel half the rumours of meddling Les

Now for Gabbi to deliver & maybe give Carrillo some service

Fair play to Redderz for that interview.

With you on that one. Not one of my favourite players but there is something about him. I’m not and never will be a boo boy … fucking disgraceful behaviour if you want my twopenneth worth. Anyway, digress, the interview is genuinely heartfelt and if he’s saying what the rest of the team is thinking then happy days.

On the subject of language barriers … it’s obviously reciprocal so what about players that can’t understand English well (Gabbi, Lems, Guido etc) whose interviews are always in their native tongue, how do you think they will fare under straight talking Sparkey ?

Interesting times ahead. Mange tout. CD

Matk Hughes is the manager of Southampton.

Just had to remind myself.

Interesting that Redmond says that Pellegrino’s English was worse than Claude’s. That’s not at all what I took from interviews with the managers. Maybe it’s to football words that Pellegrino struggled with, like score and attack.

Downvoted for the insult, @btripz .

I can go out into the real world if I want to get insulted.

In other news, Wayne Bridge is on Soccer Saturday talking about a charity boxing match he had with some no-mark celebrity.

He chose a boxing name of Triple B (Big Bad Bridge IRCC).

I did post way back that I thought the lads had been overcoached. That interview implies only some of them were overcharged. The rest simply had no clue.

Hopefully there is one hymn sheet now.

Tactically last game scared us to death as we had gone to zonal marking from corners. My big worry today is in that area…

Interview with Charlie Adam today too in which he says, when Stoke played us our players had no idea what they were supposed to be doing! He backs Huighes to get us out of trouble!

Upvoted for the insult, @btripz , delivered to worthy target @saintbletch , seemingly on a mission to pretend he has never been insulted online.

We have entire genres of fucking insults established for bletch, as he well knows, and perhaps best illustrated with the following multiple choice question, taken from this year’s Sotonian entrance exam.

Question 34

Is @saintbletch :-

a) A tow-path voyeur looking for people having sex in public.
b) A man that falls over in the same room as an open can of Bass Shandy.
c) A fugitive from the fashion police, living out his days in Eastleigh, a place too busy with its own problems to report his shirts.
d) Ross Kemp’s body double for the dangerous bits in Ross Kemp on Gangs.
e) All of the above, and I worry about more.
