📽 Films I have seen

Man. I just read this as ‘Home Alone’ and have just spent a good 10 minutes trying to work out which of the McAllister daughters was played by a young Reece Witherspoon. I had just settled on ‘the blond one’ when I read it again.

Last night’s Movie - The Snowman.

Wasn’t expecting much as reviews have been poor, but I actually really enjoyed it. Nice little twist and turns serial killer romp set in picturesque Norway!

The only thing that I didn’t like was the need for the hero (Michael Fassbender) to be flawed with alcoholism. It’s a bit of a cliche now that isn’t it? Clever detective has addiction issue? Sherlock Holmes started that FFS…

The most beautifuuly shot film.

I really enjoyed that film, although thought it ended a bit abruptly!

What one?

Wind River.

I thought 3 Billboards was your marking system :lou_facepalm_2:

Saw The Post this afternoon. A timely reminder what newspaper publishing should be all about. Piles even more shame on the likes of The Sun and The Mail. Nice sub plot about the empowerment of women too.

The Killing of a Sacred Deer. Dark.

I watched Bridge of Spies the other day. Wonderful film, with some excellent performances from Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance. Didn’t have a lot of time for Gary Powers.

Name that film?

“There’s no time for Lube”

There is ALWAYS time for Lube"

It’s really timely. Spielberg has never been an overt political director. It’s maybe his most political film

Just back from a family Goat outing to see Jumanji.

Something for everyone!

Kid Goat loved it! One of her favourites for a while.

Mrs G thought it was cheesy but good family fun.

I liked Karen Gillan in hot pants.

7 wangers!*

*out of a possible 10.

The area of West Quay where the Showcase cinema is located is well worth a visit. Despite the miserable weather it was packed this evening. There are a few new art installations and projections onto the old walls at the moment.

Just watched Flatliners, the 2017 incarnation, quite enjoyed it, much better than the original not that that’s saying a lot.

Hmmmm, part of the Cloverfield universe, the first was gash, the second enjoyable…I’ll give it a whirl…

Oh, I watched Baywatch last night, 2 hours of my life I won’t get back.
