People liked the Early Doors badge. It was a whopping 50 points just for people taking an early plunge. But as bletch points out, he is running out of people to butler (the wheels of legal machinery firing up those restraining orders, no doubt) and we’d like to reward people who join up during the summer transfer window, including latecomers ant and SuperMikey.

I don’t think these fickle new members who took 2 weeks to decide whether or not Papsweb was worthy of them should get rewarded for their lack of loyalty!
Ah, it’s not that. The Early Doors badge will always reflect the true believers that went up to the top of that hill that night, spilled blood and sacrificed those hamsters. SuperMikey lives a whirlwind existence; should we really penalise him for painting us into his tapestry at a later moment?

Well, we have to be mostly nice, I reckon. If I just pick a few 50 point favourites, it’ll be like the days when Pochettino had his favourites, and the majority of them will eventually bugger off to liverpudlians.com.
This badge is the close season version of what everybody got last season. It’s also worth pointing out that we’ve still got 40-ish Founding Centurion badges to hand out. That’s where the real power lies, I reckon. Pomp, pageantry and if it follows the traditions of the Romans that inspire it, papicide.
I’ve been doing my best to recruit from the other place. I’m not sure that I approached Hypo in the correct manner though. He seemed to not take too kindly to being called a beige fucktard.
