No one has anything to say about the fixtures, nearly 2 hours after release? I am quite surprised!

I can totally picture McLaren’s slumped shoulders & downturned face, as he contemplates a maiden defeat. Toon jeers ring throughout the North East. True Geordie has an aneurysm.

Newcastle 0 - 1 Sotonia

Haven’t seen them yet TBH, didn’t even realise they were out today.

We can’t even reproduce them though can we as they are copyrighted, wouldn’t want to get Pap in trouble would we :mischevious-winkey-simely-thing:

I am sure we are allowed to write them down?

To early for a next 6 thread?

Good stuff - Bournemouth will have got over their EPL newbies euphoria by then.

I would be careful, with what you are posting, as I think that is an official club release. I am unsure over the rules, but they are weird!

If we make it into the Group Stage of the Europa league the Newcastle (A), Watford (A), Norwich (H), Man Utd (H), Chelsea (A), Liverpool (A), Sunderland (A), Man City (A) and Crystal Palace (A) would be moved to a Sunday.

Feck sake that is quite tough is it not…

Very tough, for the size of our squad. The league position will be impacted without a doubt, but in the name of progression. Cannot wait.

Will be an interesting exercise to see how many of those games are actually played on those dates.

Technically you have to have a licence to recreate or publish the fixture list (absolutely bizarre, I know). Might be worth investigating, pap - wouldn’t want you to be hit with a fine or anything daft. You know what the Premier League can be like.

Nice to have a home game for Boxing Day. Have enjoyed away trips around Christmas for the past couple of years but it’s always a 'mare with transport then.

Quite a good spread of fixtures too, although of course the Europa could ravage it should we qualify.

Ah, here we are:

Copyright protection in the fixture list

All of the FA Premier League fixtures are protected by copyright under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1998 and are owned by the FA Premier League. If you wish to reproduce the fixture list or any part of it on your website or in your publication the Football Association would expect you to pay a licence fee for the use of this information.

Websites and publications reproducing the fixture list

You will see many publications including websites and print publications reproducing the FA Premier League fixture list. These websites and publications will all have paid for the licence fee which is expected to be around £250.

What happens if I do not have a licence?

If you do not have a licence to print the fixture list there is no provision under UK law for any fixtures to appear in advance of the match being played. If you mention more than one fixture this will not be accepted and you will be found to be in breach of Copyright laws.

Btripz - the man that sunk papsweb.

RIP

Where are the MODS to delete this? Weird.

maybe to be on the safe side, publish the fixture list but just change them all slightly. I.e. instead of having us play Norwich on 29th August, make it 30th August. Instead of having us play Man City away 28th November, make it say that we’re at home.

Thing is, it says you’re not allowed to mention more than one fixture, so my saying that all those fixtures that would have to move because of the Europa League could be considered to be in breach of copyright.

Fecking pathetic if you ask me

The last fixture of the season always interests me the most.

If (fingers very firmly crossed) we need any points at the end of the season, then Palace at home will most likely prove a great chance at a satisfactory end to the season.

Calling Pap to the conspiracy bunker. Come in Pap. Saints are under attack from the FA :slight_frown:

Edit: Not being sarky, that’s a proper bloody conspiracy!!

I’m on a stag do in Germany with a load of Geordies that weekend - should be fun.
