Are you saying that the new Societ will act on its own opinon, so no need for big (democtratic) debate threads on forum issues - (sort of like our old government, you know where we vote for MPs to represent us, but they use their jugement on matters we dont have time to absorb or investigate and who want referenda every five minutes?) or will the Soviet simply reflect what the ‘People’ in the cheap seats want irrespective of whether they agree or not, going along with the majority voice out of fear of subsequent rejection? I think we should be told!

Chuts, I’m assuming at some point Pap/Bletch will give some clarity over this, because it is kinda vague at the moment.
I’m seeing the primary purpose behind it as Pap reframing the forum so it feels more of a collective, and less Pap-owned, which will give him the freedom of carrying on being a windup arse with people!

As Lou says, part of it is about widening decision making. You should also think of your Soviet councillors as your representatives. Don’t want to raise an issue with me or @saintbletch ? With eight people on the overall council (owners + Soviet), there’s a good chance that you might find someone else that’d raise your case with more passion or conviction than we might.
