One for the Dads

Would you go out with your daughter like this?

Mine’s only 6* - so, probably not.

*no rule 1 jokes, please.

Alex Carter-Silk probably would. Or at least he’d go out with your daughter looking like that, if not his own.

If my daughter was going out like that, I would insist on going with her.

I’m not a Dad so does that mean I’m not allowed to comment on this thread?

I would not go out with my daughter like that, I cannot stand the bloke!

Totally - nice dress.

No! I meant if your Dad had a face like a smacked arse like Jose.

If my daughter (aged 17) wanted to go out like that I might have a word - something along the lines of ‘hmmm - subtle!’

She would then tell me to piss off. Probably quite rightly.

I don’t have a tuxedo.

Actually, I don’t have a daughter either.

Thankfully I don’t think my 16yo would dress anything like that, not yet anyway.

We had this debate in the office. She’s 18? She can wear what she wants. The men in the office and in particular a young guy who has a small daughter said he would not let his daughter out like that when she is the same age. I suggested she’d probably leave the house and then dress like that anyway. It was the ‘let’ I had an issue with. She’s old enough to know what she’s doing. Maybe she has some TV show coming out soon or perfume. Maybe it’s some rouse to get our attention. I found the comments he looked pissed off laughable. He always looks like that.

We are unlikely to be telling our teenage boys to not wear a revealing outfit.

At 18 I would let my daughter wear whatever she wanted, and still accompany her. However, I would have been very embarassed, but then again, my daughter would have known better than to put me through an awkward situation (As a father) than that.

Having said all that, fancy public outings (see what I did there) are a somewhat different thing than going to Sainsbury’s

Edit: As a father, during all the years prior to my daughter reaching 18, I have threatened guys of all ages, even chasing one down a high street…All completely against my normal character…When she reached about 18 I cut the umbilical cord. She does whatever she wants, and she is doing a far better job of being an adult than I ever did! Just 'cos they look all young and hot and stuff does not mean they are not their own people with good ideas, ambition and the will to do whatever will bring them contentment. Even if they like to get their booblies out once in a while. So what!?

Quite a conundrum for blokes. They like ogling other women’s breasts then suddenly want to get all protective of their own daughter’s.

I’ve already told my daughter that she’s not allowed to grow breasts.

Boobs, not daughters, well…
