:pompey_city: ❓ Portsmouth

Fucking hell did he get Churchill to write that for him?

They will be invading Sussex and annexing Brighton to get into the championship next.

Neil Allen meltdown

It really does warrent a read, let the tears of mirth flow

Nelly Allen is a proper fucking p*mpey knobjockey. A twat of the highest order, who is the journalistic equivalent of a low-rent whore, selling out any sense of journalistic integrity to write only the kind of vainglorious emotional absolute drivel that those deluded fuckwits on Portsea Island want to hear.

Everytime I read anything by Nelly Allen on the dirty cheating skate cunts, I come away with the horrible representative mental image of him giving TCWTB a blow-job.

I’ve not read him for a while, but can’t say I’m surprised to see that his writing has descended even further into the linguistic pits of syntactic despair than before. It was bad enough that he felt the need to crudely butcher the English language into such short shite manageable soundbites that became derisively known as “p*mpey paragraphs” in order for the stupid cunts that make up their readershit to grasp his essence (what!? Neil Allen _ has an essence_?!?) – but that he’s now writing the whole piece in supersized bold text is the final departure from any semblance of journalistic standards whatsoever.

Neil Allen and p*rtsmouth – they fit together like a hand into a six-fingered glove. :lou_facepalm_2:

Why does Pap hate a p*mpey thread?

The cunts are there to be shot at, as they self-indulgently provide us with all the comic material we will ever need. They effectively do the job of ripping the piss out of themselves for us, – and it would be criminal not to oblige.

Give the people want they want. And what a lot of us want, is a place to glory in their seemingly eternal karmic backlash. :lou_lol:

The PTS thread is the only thing that keeps me reading anything at all over there, and so long as I have an outlet here, I have no reason to post on TSW at all.

The Argentine President has just come out with this

"Mr Macri quoted the Argentine basketball team captain, Luis Scola, who said during the week: “I don’t want Brazil to lose. I just want them to lose when they play Argentina. It seems silly to me to sing chants against a team that is not even on the court.”

That is what it appears Saints fans are doing with Pompey.

Although I never heard any anti pompey songs on the commmentary that i got yesterday. was there any ?

Or have we decided they are not worth it anymore?

Wash your mouth out son…

Yes there was the one obligatory Que Sera but I think this is more a product of not having another narritive song singing the praises of our glorious team. No less embarassing than singing a song about Havant and Waterlooville and no more irrelevant.

Pompey helpers plunged into financial trouble

“Page not found”…Portsea censorship at work no doubt…or even someone’s shot the messenger.

They should have moved it slightly inland and detonated it

For the record, I don’t hate a Pompey thread. I started this thread!

I just find it laughable that the biggest, most viewed thread in existence on TSW is about the scruffs down the road.

While we’ve got a general policy of having nice long threads, Pompey is the exception. Better to have multiple threads where they get laughed at a little bit than one thread, with 100k posts, and getting on for 13m fucking views.

These days, I’m as mindlessly tribal as the next man when I’m inside the Stadium. Whether it’s Man Utd or Inter, they hear about Pompey, and I help.

But. There are probably people in Fratton masturbating to those stats right now. “Look 'ow much those fackers care!”, they might say on their vinegar strokes. It’s sometimes very funny, particularly when super-weapon Rallyboy is on the go, but it’s a statistical embarrassment.

I notice that they have also been fined 15000 for playing a weakened side.

How is that possible weaker than they already are ?

I would have thought there was more of a danger of collateral damage at sea. :lou_smiley:

Think of the fish.

The kids have recently been interested in boats so I decided to take then to the historic dockyard for the first time in a while last week. Wasn’t sure what the deal would be with Covid restrictions so took a look at the website. Was shocked to find that the price of a family ticket was now £120 and with Grandma too price would be £169. Fuck that.

In the not too distant past it was free to walk around the dockyard and you could get a good view of warrior and victory without paying to go on board so decided that was best option. Couldn’t find any information on the website about this so gave them a call, was told it was possible to get a site access ticket after 1200 which would cost £14 per child and adult. Fuck that.

Moaned about it to a friend who lives on the doorstep and he said that the person on the phone was talking bollocks and its free to walk around. So decided to risk it and give it a go. On arriving, there was a bag check before the ticket office so during bag check I asked again about the free site entry. They reiterated what the person on the phone said. When I pushed her on this, as to whether it was really the case that something that was previously free would now cost me £70 for the family she relented and said actually it was still free and that they just don’t like to inform people because the dockyard is a charity.

Anyway, Royal Navy are cunts and I’m not giving them or any charity glorifying their work a single penny more than I have to and all in all I found their behaviour unsavoury. So I thought I’d publicise this experience here in the hope that other Sotonians can also profit at Portsmouth’s expense. Being serious, It also looks to me like they are trying to phase out the free entry option, so maybe raise it with any inbreds from the island you know that may be unaware.

Cathedrals are also trying this approach charging to go in whereas in reality you do not need to pay.

Salisbury Cathedral did that about 40 years ago.
Americans paid, locals entered via the Cloisters.
Or inpompey speak, round the back

My only TripAdvisor review was a bad one for Romsey Abbey. I was showing a mate visiting from the US around and a woman steward asked us if we had a permit to take pictures. I told her we’d looked for any sign of a request for a payment but found nothing. She said there was, I asked how much and she said it was £25 each.
You must be joking I said…no she was adamant it was 25 quid.

We left…she was wrong…bad review followed…apology from the Sexton.

The eldest has just got back from the Isle of Shite.

I asked where she left from and she said Portsmouth.

What a rush that must be. Seeing Portsmouth fade into the distance, with the burning crosses and lit torches lined up all over the Pompey coast, knowing you’re finally safe.
