It’s the 600 quid airticket and a few days unpaid leave that is the kicker … so I’ll have to give them both a miss!!

So… Drinks anyone?

As long as Mrs G gets home early enough, I will be up for a pre game tipple :lou_lol:

Claude looks forward to Espanyol.

I don’t want to labour the point (OK, I do), but I wonder if his language, accent and calm - some would say soporific delivery, is what we need.

Even though Poch couldn’t speak the language he was lively and demonstrative.

Also, when he says ‘important’ lots of times at the beginning of the interview, try NOT thinking of Sellers’ Inspector Clouseau. (It’s OK I have lots of French friends).

Oh and Pied is pronounced PeeAyyyyyyyy.

Oh stop bed wetting, from this article

Puel clinches his fists as he describes Wenger’s touchline aggression but says that his old mentor had a remarkable ability to settle his emotions even amid moments of great stress.

“In the game he can be after his player, the referee, many things and, five minutes later, he has this ability to stay calm, quiet, and to answer very slowly, with the ability to have a good feeling of the players, the opponent, the game, and to give a good reflection,” he says.

“I am a little the same because on the pitch or just near the pitch I am very active and after I am quiet, calm, and I can answer and take a moment to analyse.”

Now were you to make it to St Marys to actually watch a game you would probably see this…

Oooo did not even know we were playing today. Thought it was Saturday! Not that I take much if any notice of preseason!

Haha, the next friendly after this isn’t even on Saturday; it’s Sunday!

Nice beer in The Bookshop Alehouse and it’s on the way to The Rockstone. Happy Days.

Yep, fast becoming one of my favourite ‘quiet drink’ venues.
