Relegation fight?

I think we have to start talking about this, just looking at the table and holy shit its close.

Not for me Baz, if we drop into the bottom 4 I’ll contribute, otherwise see you on the other threads :lou_wink_2:

We aren’t far off, Everton did us a favour today.

So did Palace, sacking their manager instead of looking at the players.

They did indeed do us a favour, won’t dispute that. Still 8 points off the bottom 3 though. Other things more important to worry about, and other things to get excited about.

You’re a glass half empty sort of guy aren’t you Baz?

I’ll see you back here if you are proved right.

He hasn’t got a fucking glass!

You remind me of one of my old vinyl albums Baz. Stuck permanently in one (damaged) place.

Barry has opted not to have a glass in case it smashes and cuts his hand off.

Health and safety, you know it.

Depends. I’m not looking at the teams below us just yet as it should be well within our grasp to get the 4 wins and 4 draws we need to get up to 40 points.

Ask again after the matches against Leicester, Swansea, West Ham and Sunderland. If we really do make a pig’s ear out of that little lot then yeah, alarm bells. Till then however, we’re 8 points clear of the relegation zone with four massively winnable matches ahead of us where we wouldn’t even have to do all that well to get our points tally into the low 30s and literally only need two more wins over the rest of the season to survive.

Can’t argue with that Baz, a relegation battle is a real concern with our current form and it’s not inconceivable that we could get dragged into the mire.

Personally I think we’ve got enough about us to avoid that and as the seasons panned out I’d be happy to finish midtable (with winning a cup a nice bonus).

Next season tho’ I will be expecting nothing less than kick arse football once more. _ Then _ Puel will have have had enough time to start showing his true worth.

I’m not sure why we have to start doing this until it becomes more likely. At the moment it is also possible that we could find ourselves in a cup final. But screw the positive, let’s be negative shall we?

Don’t worry, a win tomorrow and we’re only 1 point off Stoke in 9th. It would be ridiculous to suggest everyone up to 9th is in a relegation battle, so a peaceful death for this thread.

Be positive. 3-1

We have - Sunderland, Palace, Hull and Boro who I think 3 out of these 4 will go, maybe even Swansea, even after their freak result today.

We will be 7th-10th and hopefully have a cup final and maybe (shhhh) even win it?

If we win tomorrow we will be 11 points off the bottom 3 with Swansea next. Beat them and 30 points. We will be mathematically safe before the end of march!

Why post on here then? Like shit to a stick you lad.

Have you also noticed Segeant Wankenstein I have never downvoted you as it doesn’t sap any of your powers.
