Barry Sanchez talks Gash

it’s like a new shite signing I heard Ron murmur, he also said the press conference with the Ampfield Gazette “I even straightened the fucking boomerang and still the cock came back”

Some won’t be happy that Gaston was a) back in the squad and b) picked out some very tasty passes last night.

“But it was only against an already-defeated MK Dons!” they’ll cry. Right. So are we taking away the contributions of Rodriguez, Mané and Long while we’re at it? Thought not.

Ramirez may never truly make the grade for us, but as a little creative spark to come off the bench, I’d rather have him than not.

He is the biggest waste of space since that Jonny Depp wannabe Osvaldo, now we could have a shite signing XI?

Well RK was mainly concerned about fitness levels. it look s like that has been addressed and I can foresee him on the bench for Swansea

I think it’s code for play well and we will happily sell you but as it stands who wants you? Or wants you for money you are prepared to take? What have you done the last 3 years?

Maybe, but a fit and hungry Gaston could be just the ticket in the no10 slot behind pelle and J rod

Gaston’s happy enough here, according to the man himself. You could counter by pointing to his wage packet and indeed - who wouldn’t be content on that sort of money?

But if he’s going to remain at the club until the end of his contract, why on earth wouldn’t we attempt to get the maximum return on our investment? Involve him as much as possible.

A 4-3–1-2?

The way we currently set up we play with Mane & Tadic in a front 3.

We have only Juanmi as a direct like for like replacement for them. At the moment he does not appear to be ready.

That leaves us with JRod or Shlong, both of which while having great attributes play a different role in the team than Mane & Tadic.

Considering 1) The transfer window is closed and 2) It would cost us a million quid or more to cancel his contract, THEN the option of having an (apparently) fit again Ramires as cover for the system we prefer to play would be beneficial.

He’s here until the summer, he will become a great player or he will leave at the end of the season.

No point ranting about him. May as well spend your time ranting about other things in the world you cannot change, like the ineptitude of the EU Leadership or Climate Change or crooked Bankers or Volkswagen.

Its more of a positional thing as I have never rated him at all but I do agree its better to have a focused and invigorated player than what we have had before from him.

Its his opportunity but I still struggle to see how the formation could would without width if he was going to play in the hole, and what would become of our wonderkid JWP?

The ultimate insult is being dropped to give Gaston Ramirez an opportunity ha ha!

I’m confused.

Barry uses last nights successful result as a reason to not select James Ward Prowse who didn’t play.

Barry uses last nights successful result as a reason to not select Gaston Ramirez who did play.

It’s an interesting logic. Very fleet of foot.

I am confused myself Lou to be fair, Gash in JWP ou seems to be the tone of the moment though.

Tone of whose moment? Yours? Or Saints fans in general?

I think maybe it’s not quite as black and white as that. I think they’re both useful and different players. JWP is more reliable at the moment, but GR showing new promise. But I think you know that.

Obviously mine but I have a feel for these situations, Gash is the flavour of the moment pardon the pun and the skate is too fishy and out of it.

pls change thread title to “Barry Sanchez talks Gash”

Down voted for calling JWP a skate and fishy! How could you!

Agreed. This thread breaks a record for title changes. I think we’re set now.
