Rodgers sacked

Bah. Our chances in the Liverpool fixture have just gone down.

Brendan Rodgers has been sacked as Liverpool manager, the club have announced.

The club’s owner John W Henry, chairman Tom Werner and president Mike Gordon said in a statement:

“We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Brendan Rodgers for the significant contribution he has made to the club and express our gratitude for his hard work and commitment.

“All of us have experienced some wonderful moments with Brendan as manager and we are confident he will enjoy a long career in the game.

“Although this has been a difficult decision, we believe it provides us with the best opportunity for success on the pitch. Ambition and winning are at the heart of what we want to bring to Liverpool and we believe this change gives us the best opportunity to deliver it.

He obviously lacked ambition.

Couldn’t they wait until after we’d beaten them?

BFS now has a difficult choice to make: nutella or jam on his pancakes.

John Barnes is on talkSPORT now moaning that Liverpool cannot buy world class players. Funny. Dalglish managed to land Suarez, and Brendan has spent a quarter of a billion in his time at LFC.

Yes, John. No financial clout whatsoever, but you are correct. Liverpool couldn’t land top players, and I reckon Rodgers was a big part of that.

Thanks for the cash - and the laughs!

He hit rock bottom when he said that Kevin Friend was spot on with his decisions at SMS.

Never mind.

The talkSPORT press pass are still apologising for him.

“What could he have achieved with this group of players?”

I’m guessing that we’re going to find out a lot about who was really behind the transfer deals.

talkSPORT are saying that they have strong indications that it’s Ancelotti.

Think either would be a marked improvement on Brendan.

With Jose on the brink Liverpool need to get out there quick and sign someone up as top managers would prefer the Chelsea job.

He was a miserable cunt, so cant feel sorry for him…in fact I am enjoying a nice glass of schadenfreude…

Given how they went after all our players, see Koeman is only 20/1 to take over that Anfield… :astonished:

Actually, he’s still a miserable cunt - what he isn’t is Liverpool manager. Ha ha ha ha ha ha fucking ha.

He who laughs last! Don’t even joke!

Brilliant in all but timing. Really thought it could be another Hoddle moment on 25/26th…ah well
