Rodriguez Tapping up the Barcodes

Apparently

Never the same since his injury but then he hasn’t really had the game time to prove it

More likely to get offered a pair of Lonsdale joggers and one of those giant mugs.

I like Jay Rod. He has got a v.friendly face, nice hair, and tight buns.

it’s a real shame because he could have been brilliant. He might still turn out good with a run of games. I think its best if he moves on and I’d be happy with anything above £8m

I think whoever gets Jay Rod and gives him a run of 20 games will either end up with a Top Striker, or a new piece of furniture in the physio room. It’s a tough call.

I think Newcastle and Jay Rod are a good fit. He’d get the game time he needs and he’s shown he still knows where the goal is. He seems to be over his injury now, he just doesn’t seem as mobile as he was … not sure he’ll ever be but if he can get back to 80 or 90% of his old self he’ll still be a top striker.

Send him on loan until January with an option to buy or extend or recall.

Then IF he gets back to be the England player he was we can call him back and have earned a fee from the Geordies.

Anyone know how long his contract has to run?

2 years as far as i’m aware Soggy.

Cool, so a season’s lone to find out if he can get his previous form back would seem the way to go.
