Have we done predictions yet?
I think we’ve had a fantastic pre season and set of signings. So I’m going bold with my predictions:
Premier League: 5th
Europa League: quarter finals
FA Cup: 4th round

Anywhere in the top half and I will be a happy bunny. Throw in a good cup run and I will be ecstatic. I dont think we will do well in Europe but hope I’m proved wrong.

I think the top half of the league is going to be a bit stronger this year. Liverpool have addressed some obvious deficiencies, even if they haven’t addressed the most obvious. It’ll be interesting to see whether Poch improves this year too; he started going off the boil in his second season with us, although knowing he was leaving probably factored in. Further down the league, I’m not sure we can count on the likes of Newcastle to be as shit as they were last year.
I think it might be another 7th or 8th.
I’m banking on Liverpool ditching Rodgers half way through the season, and new manager picking up the pieces…
I predict a second-season doldrums for Pochettino; Rodgers to stumble ineffectually on; Swansea to ramp up their top-half challenge; and the top four to be more of a closed shop than last season. So that means anything from 5th (optimistic) to 9th for us.
I also think we need a good start to the season to prove that the players we’ve lost this time around were genuinely replaceable. That’s asking a lot of Clasie, Juanmi and Cedric - but I do expect (hope) that Tadic steps up a gear after a season’s acclimatisation.
And I hope above all that JRod comes back flying.

I honestly feel we could do 5th or even 4th if the wind is in our direction and we get the rub of the green…I just can’t feel right saying it though. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the idea of Saints being any kind of force at all, whatsover, ever.

I think we’ll struggle in Europe and likely go out early.
We will be highly entertaining to watch this year and will finish 5th in the league, win the F.A. Cup, blood youngsters in the league cup and get knocked out in the quarters.

I am pants at predicting. I always start the season hoping that we will do well but fearing that we will be rubbish. This year will be no different.
