Saints v Villa Match day Redemption thread

We certainly ain’t much better. At least Grealish won’t be in the matchday squad, I mean he has been their outstanding player this season, they’re really going to miss him.

We are though arn’t we? Come on, we are much better than Villa…

Well perhaps we really have lost the plot and there’s one hell of a slump to come.

But a few games ago we’d strung together a long run of results and looked solid, if not always spectacular. It’s an important time to avoid making snap judgements.

It might just be me, but I consider Grealish to be the most over-rated pile of shit going. I was really hoping he’d stayed Irish and as for being “Their outstanding player this season”, that’s some badge of honour.

So RK says there is a problem between the defence and the forwards so what is he going to do about it is he going to bring some youngsters in or just get Fonte back to communicate between the two

I will be supporting our international class (self proclaimed) (in temporary charge) match thread starter to overcome his fucking embarrasiing 1-6 home defeat that kicked off his campaign.

However, I predict we might end up with a 1-1, and my support wont be able to help in the following clamour for his removal…

Expecting us to overcome the humiliation of midweek comfortably, although Villa will probably try to leverage any psychological frailties following the loss. The Klopp klick has been coming for a while; damn shame it happened to us. As Brendan said (and did), we move on.

If we’ve got any complaints about the quality of our summer acquisitions, Villa certainly have more. Taking a massive gamble on foreign imports, they’re now taking a punt on Remi Garde to organise them better than Sherwood managed (last known tactic? “keep swinging!”), which he may well do. Possibly not tomorrow though.

They won’t be pressing us like Liverpool, and should present an opportunity to move on from that fucking thrashing in midweek.

2 years ago today, we played Villa at home, controlled the game, but lost.

We’ll fucking batter them. I’m scared of Ronald and I reckon the 1st team squad are too. Gutted I’m missing it.

Well here we go!

Win this and we will be above Liverpool again!

We have come out the blocks well!

Just need to get some shots on target!

Plenty of shots, but cannot get the blinking ball in the net!
