Saints v Villa Match day Redemption thread

Well the first attempt was a bit of a let down so I thought this one could only get better.

Saints 3 - 0 Villa

Hang in there, and dont let the bastards get you down…marathon, not a sprint, patience is a virtue, additional cliches all wellcome…

Its at timeslike these that I turn to Kipling for inspiration:

If, you can keep your head …

I’m more of the Mad dogs and Englishman type.

Although a Guiness is bringing out the Irish in me for lunch.

I see Steven Davis has come out and said they need to pick up the pieces and get a result against Villa which is probably the party line and we have no idea how the squad reacted to getting humped by the scouse gits. and wiill not find out until they cross the white liine on Saturday.

Question is do you put money on a Saints win ?

Nope - dont gamble as am complete and utter shite at it coupled with an adictive personality, it would be a house repocession/divorce/lifeturnstocunt experience if I ever started it. :lou_surprised:

If it is not going to happen in this game then I don’t know when it will!

3-0

Your user name is an absolute lie then…

We better hump the bastards.

No shit!

They are truly awful at the moment.

Need to start as we did against Liverpool but not instantly kick back a couple of gears. Or at very least, not put it straight into reverse…

We certainly ain’t much better. At least Grealish won’t be in the matchday squad, I mean he has been their outstanding player this season, they’re really going to miss him.

We are though arn’t we? Come on, we are much better than Villa…

Well perhaps we really have lost the plot and there’s one hell of a slump to come.

But a few games ago we’d strung together a long run of results and looked solid, if not always spectacular. It’s an important time to avoid making snap judgements.

It might just be me, but I consider Grealish to be the most over-rated pile of shit going. I was really hoping he’d stayed Irish and as for being “Their outstanding player this season”, that’s some badge of honour.

So RK says there is a problem between the defence and the forwards so what is he going to do about it is he going to bring some youngsters in or just get Fonte back to communicate between the two

Paging Letsbedrinking, clean up in the Irony aisle required.

I will be supporting our international class (self proclaimed) (in temporary charge) match thread starter to overcome his fucking embarrasiing 1-6 home defeat that kicked off his campaign.

However, I predict we might end up with a 1-1, and my support wont be able to help in the following clamour for his removal…

Expecting us to overcome the humiliation of midweek comfortably, although Villa will probably try to leverage any psychological frailties following the loss. The Klopp klick has been coming for a while; damn shame it happened to us. As Brendan said (and did), we move on.

If we’ve got any complaints about the quality of our summer acquisitions, Villa certainly have more. Taking a massive gamble on foreign imports, they’re now taking a punt on Remi Garde to organise them better than Sherwood managed (last known tactic? “keep swinging!”), which he may well do. Possibly not tomorrow though.

They won’t be pressing us like Liverpool, and should present an opportunity to move on from that fucking thrashing in midweek.

2 years ago today, we played Villa at home, controlled the game, but lost.

voted up by mistake…wanted to vote down for reminding us of the misery…bollocks

We’ll fucking batter them. I’m scared of Ronald and I reckon the 1st team squad are too. Gutted I’m missing it.
